Sample Page (Composer)
Please use this template for the listing of all composers. If information is missing, then please include the "none" template (done by inserting none into the text).
Biography
(^ this type of heading is formed by putting == == around your text, or using the headline tool in the toolbar)
Here is where you can enter the biographical information of the composer. Please keep in mind that this site is not designed to publicize or serve as a marketing device for living composers. Please refrain from excessive self-aggrandizement. For the sake of consistency (and succinctness for those looking for a quick answer), please start each biographical entry as follows:
John Doe (born 1 January 1900 in Chicago, IL; died 1 January 2000 in New York City) was/is an American composer and educator/publisher/administrator/etc.
Obviously, change the requisite information. The typical layout then goes on to describe the composer's schooling, a little about his life as a composer and/or educator, and a few historical facts.
To add a picture to the page, insert the following code at the very top (first line):

Replace "Image" with the image name (make sure it is a .jpg file) and "Caption Text" with the name of the composer.
Works for Winds
Here is where you enter all of the composer's works for winds. By "winds" we mean: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Wind Orchestra, Orchestral Winds, Symphonic Winds, Wind Sextets, Septets, and Octets, Chamber Winds, Brass and Woodwind Choirs, and others. List them by using an asterisk (which will create a list), then make sure you turn the title into an internal link by surrounding it with Sample Title.
The following code: *Sample Title 1 (1900) will create the following:
- Sample Title 1 (1900)
Make sure you do not use a period (.) in your title, as Wiki software has trouble rendering periods in titles.
To add works to an existing template (in the code, it would look something like this: schwantnerworks ), please open that particular template and edit it.
References
Here is where you enter any references you used for your information. Please use APA 5th edition formatting. Here is a good website that has information on APA formatting: APA Citations. For official composer websites, use the following format:
*Random Composer - Official Website
This code will yield the following:
Make sure you put one single space between the URL and the composer's name/text.
Finally, make sure you add the following code to the bottom of your composer page: . This will allow the software to sort by the last name of the composer instead of the first name. In addition, add the following two categories:

Replace "American" with the nationality of the composer. Some nationalities are grouped by region, check the Main Page to see if a grouping is already in place, and use that one.
For a blank template you can use, see Composertemp and then select "Edit" to get the relevant text.
