Program Notes
The Premier polka was originally published by Gamble Hinged Music Company for cornet, baritone, or xylophone solo. While no specific date is listed for this work, similar compositions by Edward Llewellyn were published in 1940. This solo is in the spirit of a "novelty" piece popular in Vaudeville during the 1920's.
