From Wind Repertory Project
WRP Music of Merit is a list of music compiled from various "top" lists provided by various selectors (in particular, the famed 1978 Acton Ostling Jr. dissertation). To make the cut, a work of music must have been included on ALL the lists provided. Music on this list is of this highest quality construction and craft, is considered a serious artistic endeavour, and has stood the test of time.
Some pieces that would be included on this list have not yet been entered into the WRP, hence their exclusion. Feel free to discuss this list via the "Discussion" tab above.
